She had been a teacher in Wyckoff, Boca Raton, Florida, and Edisto Beach South Carolina. She was the recipient of three Outstanding Teacher Awards in New Jersey and Florida. She is survived by her husband Richard F. Donsky, her children Julie Donsky and Susan D. Kerr, two grandchildren, and her siblings Dr. Robert Baldwin and Carol Staples. Arrangements were made by Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors in Hackensack. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice. Michael Nassor of Little Ferry, formerly of Wyckoff, died Dec. 15. He was 39. He was vice president of Nassor Electrical Supply in Moonachie. He is survived by his parents George and Elsie Nassor, his siblings Donna Nassor of Wyckoff, Cynthia Mamary of Hawthorne, and George Nassor Jr. of New Hampshire, a niece, and a nephew. Ernest Rosso of Ridgewood died Dec. 12. He was 88. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He owned Rosso’s Market in Ridgewood from 1917-1963. He is survived by his wife Claire (nee Streelman), his children Arnold Rosso of Ho-Ho-Kus, Linda DeCoster of Englewood, Florida, and Paul Rosso of Hackensack, three grandchildren, and his sister Lucille Gillen of Totowa. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Ralph A. Scheele of Ridgewood died Dec. 12. He was 77. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, he was an investment banker. He was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club and the Metropolitan Club in New York City. He is survived by his wife of Carolyn Lee (nee Tobin) of Ridgewood, and his children Melissa and Elizabeth. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Anne C. Sluis of Wyckoff died Dec. 13. She was 83. Before retiring, she was Faith Evelyn Donsky Ernest Rosso Ralph A. Scheele Michael Nassor an adoption social worker with Bethany Christian Services for over 20 years. She was a volunteer at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, and a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church of Wyckoff. She is survived by her children Steven P. of Ballwin, Missouri, Gordon W. of Vicksburg, Mississippi, James P. of Ridgewood, and Kathleen Anne Bristley of Grass Valley, California, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, her daughter Ruth Ellen Manning, and her grandson David Alexander Bristley. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Van Lenten of Waldwick, formerly of Wyckoff, died Dec. 15. He was 95. Before retiring, he was employed by A&P Tea Company for 46 years, first managing grocery stores and supervising during the transition to supermarkets. He then joined the administrative staff, heading up divisions in personnel, operating, and sales, holding positions of national director of sales, vice president of the Columbus, Ohio unit, vice president of the New York unit, and merchandise director. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Company #2 in Wyckoff and was a Cub pack leader. He was a founding member of Wyckoff YMCA. He served as a Wyckoff representative on the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School Board of Education. He served 11 years on the Waldwick Board of Adjustment, and was chairman of the New Jersey Utility Investors’ Group. He was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood and of Hobbyists Unlimited of Ridgewood. He was a member of the social and organization of Tamaron in Waldwick. He is survived by his son Paul of Pace, Florida, six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Jane, his son Lee, his daughter Ellen, and his brother Walter. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was 87. She is survived by her children Sharon Murphy, Elise Wawrzonkiewicz, and Pam Scaglione, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Wawrzonkiewicz, and her siblings Joseph, Pearl, Florence, Eleanor, and Anthony. Arrangements were made by Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home in Cedar Grove. Paul S. Wood of Pearl River, New York died Dec. 12. He was 50. He was executive officer of the City of White Plains, New York. Previously, he was director of economic development and served as acting executive officer in White Plains. He had served as press secretary for Edward Hyne’s bid for Bergen County Executive. He had worked as editor for Community Life newspaper in Westwood before becoming politically active, and coached basketball for the Allendale Department of Recreation. He is survived by his wife, the former Valerie Pannullo of Allendale, his sons, Ryan of Plymouth, MA, and Jerry, Michael and Matthew of Allendale, and his brother Peter Wood of Florida.
