The 4 p.m. Christmas Family Service will focus on the children and the family. The Christmas message will be delivered in a special Children’s Sermon. Holy Communion will be celebrated. Singles plan activities The Singles Ministry at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River invites singles who are age 40+ to join the group for two upcoming events. Kindergarten orientation set The Upper Saddle River School District has planned a kindergarten orientation for parents of kindergarten-age children. The event will be held Jan. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Travers Multipurpose Room at Reynolds School. Registration procedures, a typical day in kindergarten, and curriculum will be discussed. It is essential that the district receive an accurate count of incoming kindergarten students. LifeLines sets December meeting LifeLines, a supportive and informative resource for prostate cancer patients and their partners in Northern Bergen County, will meet Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 7:45 to 9 p.m. at the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. The group was formed by prostate cancer patients to share information and experience about available treatment and service resources. The group does not offer or give medical advice, but provides insight, information, and support based on members’ experiences. The award is presented to communities for their outstanding traffic safety program activities. The Upper Saddle River Police Department combats aggressive driving and other dangerous traffic offenses through enforcement and educational activities in the community.
