Bob Smolen will lead a study and discussion of Parashat Mi’Ketz, exploring Joseph’s experiences in and out of jail and his dream interpretation through art. Attendees will view paintings and etchings by various artists, including Rembrandt, Carlo Cignani, Philipp Veit, Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema, James Jacques Joseph Tissot, Andrea Del Sarto, Van Leyden Lucas, Nicolas Beatrizet, and Peter von Cornelius. Discussion participants will seek to interpret Parashat Mi’Ketz in light of the messages the artists convey. Services will resume at 11 a.m. All are invited. The Children’s Family Liturgy for families with small children only will be at 4 p.m. The Mass for the Differently-abled will be at 5:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., there will be Eucharistic liturgies. The choir and congregation will sing Christmas carols at the 9:30 p.m. service. There will be two Eucharistic liturgies at 10:30 a.m. and noon on Christmas Day.
