Before retiring in 1989, she had been employed by the Ramsey Golf and Country Club. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church. She was an exempt member of the Ladies Auxiliary Mahwah Fire Company #2 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #7124. She is survived by her children Audrey Mankiewicz and Maria Himber, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her brother Emil Iglody. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Mankiewicz. Maratene of Hawthorne, formerly of Waldwick, died Dec. 7. He was 56. Before retiring in 2005, he was a supervisor for the Ridgewood Road Department. He was a volunteer at Kessler Institute in Saddle Brook. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Maratene of Hawthorne, his brother Michael Maratene of Waldwick, and four nieces and nephews. McConville of Midland Park died Dec. 8. He was 64. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Ridgewood and the Ridgewood Fourth of July Committee. He is survived by his brother Thomas, four nieces and nephews, and seven grand nieces and nephews. Mary Ann Nocek, nee Bryk, of Glen Rock died Dec. 3. She was 66. She is survived by her husband Robert Nocek of Glen Rock, and four cousins. Pender of Windham, New Hampshire, formerly of Salem, New Hampshire and Waldwick, died Dec. 6. He was 88. He was a U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran of WWII. He was a certiﬁed public accountant. He had been a partner in G.H. Kinglsey & Company in Manhattan, then Pender and Dunleavy of Englewood Cliffs. He later founded Edmund L. Pender, CPA in Englewood Maria Mankiewicz Cliffs. He had served as a member on the County Committee of Bergen County and was an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a member of Saint Luke’s Catholic Church of Ho-Ho-Kus and is a member of Saint Matthew’s Parish of Windham. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Lee Greaves of Spofford, New Hampshire, Kathleen A. Eid of Danville, New Hampshire, Joan K. Lofgren of Kittery Point, Maine, and Laurie J. Sweetser of Windham, New Hampshire, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his brother Thomas F. Pender of Prescott, Arizona. Church in West Milford and a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by her husband Joseph M. Russo, her children Gail A. Rifﬂard-Krumscheid of Ringwood and Mark W.
