The salutation also acknowledged JLBC members’ contributions of time, skills, and resources to the development of The Hermitage, a museum in Ho-Ho-Kus that includes a gothic revival stone residence, visited by George Washington during the Revolutionary War. The JLBC’s relationship with the museum has spanned the past 30 years. JLBC members have served as docents, cataloged acquisitions, and sewn period costumes to be worn at the museum. The JLBC has also supplied funding for the renovation of the museum’s facilities. In conjunction with the organization’s 75th anniversary, the JLBC recently donated a total of $30,000 to three local charities: the Volunteer Center of Bergen County, Woodlea PATH 1 Advisory Board (a part of Children’s Aid and Hermitage honors Junior League for 75 years of community service Family Services) and Rebuilding Together Bergen County. JLBC has had a longstanding relationship with these three organizations, each of which has made a profound impact upon the community.
