He was a local businessman and owner of Clark Floor Covering in Ramsey before his retirement. He is survived by his wife Doris H. Clark, his children Carolyn Christopher, Linda Clark, Brian Clark, and James Clark, step children Gary Van Duyne and Lynn Van Duyne, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. During his lifetime he had managed a dry cleaning business and a shoe repair business. He became a stone cutter and had a jewelry store in Brooklyn, New York, and later in Paterson and Pompton Plains. He had also worked as a diamond expert for Bamberger’s Department Store in Paramus. He was a parishioner of Saint Ann Melkite Antoinette Mortati Catholic Church in West Paterson. He is survived by his children Joseph Anthony Wardy of Randolph and Mary Joan Ajjan of Franklin Lakes, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (nee Haddad) Wardy, his son Charles J. Wardy, Jr., and his 10 siblings Beatrice Hayek, Mary Baskinger, Helen Trebotich, Anne Dembiak, Norma Riffle, Josephine Dorgan, Agnes Cella, Anthony, Albert, and George Wardy.
