The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce now has an executive secretary to help the organization forge ahead with its ambitious goals. She is Waldwick resident Kim Post, the mother of four children and the wife to John. Earlier this year Chamber President Christine Figliuolo recommended to the membership that in order for the organization to continue its growth and far-reaching programs, a dedicated, reliable, organized, personable individual would have to be added to the mix. Having had the chance to work with Post on some of her own events, Figliuolo decided to hire someone with those qualifications. “I love the job. It has given me and opportunity to be an at-home mom and be involved in the community. I get pleasure in making out town better,” said Post, adding: “Christine is great to work with and makes the job very enjoyable.” Since Post has come on board, membership has increased, and the daunting task of organizing the chamber’s 2nd Annual 5K/1 Mile Walk Event scheduled for Sunday, April 26 has been streamlined. “There is no possible way we could keep track of all the activity happening with the chamber these days if Kim had not come on board. She is an asset to our organization, and now with a dedicated person to handle all

the `details’, we have a chance to grow even stronger,” Figliuolo said. Post’s current focus is gathering information on sponsorships and registration for the 5K event. “Although there is a lot of information flying around and coming at her from all ends, Kim stays calm, cool and collected,” Figliuolo noted. “She is now the `face’ of the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce, promoting the association in
and out of town She is the person in charge of soliciting new members and taking care of day-to-day business,” Since assuming the position, Post has been working closely with Stan Kowalski on all 5K event business. She also works closely with the chamber’s web designer, Doug Yuen, to make sure he has the most up-to-date information to maintain the website current (www.waldwickchamber.com).
