Before retiring in 1987, she worked in building maintenance in Manhattan for more than 28 years. She is survived by her sons George Alzapiedi of Waldwick and Peter Alzapiedi of Astoria, New York, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Zelindo Alzapiedi. Marilyn Comeskey, nee Sidley, of Allendale, formerly of Wyckoff, died March 24. She was 83. Before retiring, she had been a secretary for the president of Ramapo College. She is survived by her children Monica T. Comeskey of Norfolk, Virginia, Marilyn T. Varsolona of Allendale, Elaine P. Ohnmeis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nicholas J. Comeskey II of Oregon and Peter Comeskey of San Jose, California, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas J. Comeskey. Frederick Bergert George Kleen of Wyckoff died March 23. He was 85. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1986, he was an engineer with Singer Kearfott and Lockheed Martin. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice. Domenick A. Luppino of Glen Rock died March 25. He was 86. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers in New Jersey for many years. He was a member of The Community Church of Glen Rock. Formerly he was a member of the Marble Collegiate Church in New York. He is survived by his wife Marina Alzapiedi Dorothy Luppino, his children, Leslie and John, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Rudolph Luppino. Arrangements were made by C.C. She was 89. She was a parishioner of Saint Paul RC Church in Ramsey. She is survived by her children Eileen Kauker of Mahwah, Tom Montanya of Sparta, Michael Montanya of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Betsy Gillooly of Oakton, Virginia, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her sisters Helen Cullen and Julia d’Arcy. Elvira Pasquini of Glen Rock, died March 19. She was 78. She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s RC Church in Hawthorne. She is survived by her children Victor D. Pasquini of Goshen, New York, Lucia Schwarz of Glen Rock, and Angela Muller of Glen Rock, nine grandchildren, and her siblings Mafalda Martino, Ines Calello, Domenico Pasquini. She was predeceased by her husband Dominick. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Dorothy Roughgarden of Waterville, Maine, formerly of Midland Park, died March 21. She was 84. Before retiring, she was an office manager for King Auto Parts in HoHo-Kus for over 25 years. She was an active member and officer of the Midland Park Senior Citizens, and past officer of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Richard Roughgarden, of Palermo, Maine, Nancy Tabaka of Winchester, Virginia, Paul Roughgarden of Montague, three grandchildren and her brother Donald Kinney, of Tinton Falls. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius “Pinky” Roughgarden and her granddaughter Cara Roughgarden. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. Mildred E. Sansbury of Mahwah died March 19. She was 96. Arrangements were made by Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, New York. Dr. John A. Schulz of Franklin Lakes died March 25. He was 87. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He had a medical practice in Paterson and Oakland. During his 49 years on staff at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center he served in the capacity of interim chief executive officer, chief of trauma services, director of the surgical intensive care unit, acting chairman of the department of surgery, and director of the surgical student education program. He actively participated in a variety of hospital-wide committees, including credentialing, trauma, operating room, surgical executive and medical education, and helped train hundreds of surgical residents. He was an adjunct professor at Saint Vincent’s in New York and Saint George’s in Grenada. In 2002, he was named the recipient of the prestigious Kendrick P. Lance Distinguished Physician Award at the 28th Annual Charity Ball. He had received a tribute of a crown acorn to be placed on the Tree of Life from Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in honor of his career there. He is survived by his wife Candace Schultz, nee Muller, his children John Schultz Jr. of Washington, DC, Amy Riquelme of West New York, and Erica Sinatra of Freehold, and three grandchildren.
