September 23, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 9 Glen Rock Roundup Senior urged to return questionnaire The Senior Citizen Housing Committee is urging seniors to return the housing questionnaire by Sept. 30. This questionnaire is the result of last year’s senior citizens’ survey conducted by the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee regarding senior housing. The questionnaire will attempt to identify specific senior needs in regard to housing. Covered Dish Luncheon planned The Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Glen Rock Branch, is kicking off its new season with a Covered Dish Luncheon on Monday, Sept. 28 at 12:30 p.m. The luncheon will be held in the Municipal Annex on Maple Avenue. Meetings are scheduled for the fourth Monday of the month at the Glen Rock Annex. Visitors are welcome. Members are asked to invite any prospective new members as guests to the Sept. 28 luncheon. The new 2009-10 Membership Directory has been distributed. In addition to contributing a favorite dish for the luncheon, each member is asked to bring an item for the hospital’s Robin Hood Corner at Kurth Cottage. Contributions do not have to be new, but should be saleable. Glen Rock Jewish Center plans events The Glen Rock Jewish Center Men’s Club is hosting its Seventh Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Town of Walkill Golf Club. This fundraiser features a round of golf, use of driving range, catered lunch and dinner, beverages, and prizes for contest winners. Members of the public are welcome. Wine Tasting coming up The Saint Catharine’s M.O.T.H.E.R.S. group will host a Wine Tasting on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Community Hall at Saint Catharine’s Church. Participants are asked to bring school supplies to the event. These supplies will benefit a local charity. Members of this group meet in a Christ-centered environment for mutual support and share opportunities for personal, spiritual, intellectual, and social growth. Vendors sought for fall boutique Spaces are still available for Glen Rock Jewish Center’s Fabulous Fall Boutique planned for Sunday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The boutique will be open to the entire community.
