Wolff was recently lauded for uncovering the highly publicized grade-changing situation at Fort Lee High School. In a statement released by the Fort Lee School District, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Raymond Brandlow stated, “We are saddened to see Mr. Wolff leave. He is a man of moral character who brought professionalism and expertise to our school counseling services.” In his new capacity, Wolff will supervise a staff of four high school and two middle school guidance counselors who are responsible for 1,351 students. He will also oversee the elementary guidance program. The district provides guidance services to all four K-5 elementary schools in the district. “We are very pleased that Mr. Wolff has agreed to join the ranks of our school administration,” said Glen Rock’s Superintendent of Schools Dr. David C. Verducci. “In addition to his many years of relevant experience, his firsthand knowledge of the Genesis student information system that the district has recently adopted will provide us with critical leadership in the management of student records.” Before joining the staff in Fort Lee, Wolff held a similar position with Mahwah High School from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he served as a guidance counselor in various Bergen County districts. He began his career as a teacher and coach in 1985. The new director holds a master’s of education in counseling psychology from Rutgers University and a master’s in educational administration from Montclair State University. Wolff lives in Fair Lawn with his wife and two children. Lawrence A. Wolff The Glen Rock Board of Education has approved the appointment of Lawrence A. Wolff as director of student personnel services. Wolff replaces Dr. Kitty Lee Scott who retired at the end of the 2008-09 school year. He will begin his service to the district on Nov. 1 at a prorated salary of $91,835.
