Disillusioned by life and his unrewarding job at Sunshine Desserts, Reginald begins to push the boundaries of acceptable behavior. Finally, he fakes his suicide and begins to tour the countryside, taking on a variety of disguises, from a bucktoothed pig farmer to an arrogant explorer. However, his quest for fulfillment backfires; he discovers that he misses his wife, and he returns home to start a new life. The series does not pack the laughs of its fellow British comedy, “Fawlty Towers,” but Rossiter amuses with his pudding-like face and his great reactions.
