Garden Club sponsors Plant Sale The Glen Rock Garden Club will hold its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Main Line Railroad Station off Rock Road, rain or shine. The sale, the club’s annual fundraiser for its borough beautification projects, “The Gardener’s Shed” will offer flowers for Mother’s Day gifts, seedlings for vegetable gardens, herbs for kitchen gardens, hanging flower baskets, and a large variety of annual flowers. The most popular spot at the sale is always the Members’ Table. Club members dig up and pot plants from their own gardens, offering unusual flowering plants that local nurseries don’t often carry. Members are always ready to offer advice about the best conditions for planting. Money raised from the annual event is used for the Glen Rock Garden Club community service projects such as beautifying the Glen Rock Public Library and the Glen Rock Borough Hall. Residents of northwest Bergen County who are interested in gardening are welcome to join. Information can be picked up at the sale or by calling Beth Helfst at (201) 447-4183. The club meets from September to May on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:45 p.m. at the Glen Rock Municipal Annex.
