Fish, french fries, coleslaw, beverages, and dessert will be served. Ticket prices are $13 for adults, $6.50 for children 12 years and younger. The price for a family (one or two adults and children) will not exceed $35. Tickets must be reserved in advance. Take out orders may be requested at the time of making reservations. Pick up for takeouts will begin at 6 p.m. and seating will begin afterwards in Fellowship Hall at the Hamilton Avenue entrance of Community Church. Candidates’ Night set The League of Women Voters of Glen Rock will sponsor a Candidates’ Night forum for the Glen Rock Board of Education. The forum will be held April 7 in the gymnasium at Central School, 600 Maple Avenue, at 7:30 p.m. Candidates will present their views on the issues in response to ques- tions posed by the audience. Four candidates, including incumbents Barbara Steuert and Gene Calderon, and challengers Anita Kalra and Dina Rosen, will be vying for the three available three-year seats in this election. Robert Burslem and Sheldon Hirschberg will be vying the single, one-year term. This year’s election is scheduled for April 21. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. As part of its voter services, The League of Women Voters registers new voters and organizes forums for candidates whenever there is a contested election. Preschool programs available The Glen Rock Community School will hold a one-day priority registration for Glen Rock residents on Tuesday, April 7. Borough residents may register for the Mom & Tot and Terrific for Tots preschool programs for the 2009-10 school year. Proof of residency and a copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport are required. Open registration for members of all communities will begin Wednesday, April 8. A birth certificate or passport must be presented. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at 600 Harristown Road, Glen Rock, in the lobby of Glen Rock High School. Programs, followed by refreshments, are held at 7:45 p.m. in the municipal annex on Maple Avenue in Glen Rock. The public is welcome. Sexton, a Glen Rock resident for 26 years, is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in landscape architecture. He is a member of The American Society of Landscape Architects and a New Jersey certified landscape architect. Sexton has practiced landscape architecture in northern New Jersey for over 30 years. Sexton will discuss street trees, private trees, and their effects and benefits to the community. A question and answer session will follow. Wine Tasting coming up The Glen Rock Jewish Center will hold a Passover Wine Tasting and Sale on Saturday, March 21 at 8:30 p.m. Sample a variety of kosher wines from around the world.
