She is survived by her children Patricia Gerard of Houston, Texas, Rudolf Beel of Jamestown, New York and Thomas Beel of New York City, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her sister Viola Feazel. Muller of Franklin Lakes died March 4. He was 79. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a CPA and partner at McGladrey and Pullen for over 40 years. He served as president of the NJSCPA and authored the AICPA Industry Audit Guide for Investment Companies. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes and a member of the North Jersey Whiz Skiers. He is survived by his wife Diva (nee Martini), daughters Lisa Munoz, Caroline Cooley, Judy Cobourn, Pamela Swartzberg, and Valerie Torkelson, and 16 grandchildren. She had been employed by Saint Francis Hospital, the Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Pennsylvania Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Becton Dickinson Consumer Products. She was a founding member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, president of the New Jersey Diabetes Association in 1985, a member of the Expert Panel on Endocrinology of the U.S. Pharmacopoeial Convention, served on the New Jersey Diabetes Commission, a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and a member of national and state committees of the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and a trustee of the Diabetes Research and Education Foundation. She was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahwah and Saint Paul’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ramsey.
