He was a self-employed dental technician and was employed by the Ridgewood Library He is survived by his wife Lydia, nee Giustolisi, of Ridgewood, his children Peter, Jr. and Darren, and his sister Phyllis Villanova. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Bernard J. Ellis of Ridgewood died Jan. 3. He was 87. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was a certiﬁed public accountant for Emigrant Savings Bank in New York City He was a life-long parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Eileen, nee Roeser, his children Mary Anne Katz, Melissa Stedman, John A. Ellis, Elizabeth Meyer, Loretta McCarthy, Rosemary Gatti and Julie M. Kooy, 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Bernard Joseph Ellis, Jr. and his sister Mary Fichter. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. May Gallone, nee Howard, of Monroe, formerly of Wyckoff, died Jan. 2. She was 79. Prior to raising her family she worked at Hawthorne Laundry for 11 years. She was a past member of the Hawthorne Lions Club. She is survived by her husband John Gallone, Jr. of Monroe, New York, her children Neil Gallone of Greenwood Lake, New York, and Marie Oppewall of Monroe, New York, and four grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Browning-Forshay Funeral Home in Hawthorne. Richard A. Gilsenan of Saddle River died on Jan. 4. He was 90. He was the founder of Gilsenan and Company, and established the Multiple Listing Service in Bergen County. He was chairman of the board of the Jersey Bank for Savings of Montvale and River Edge. He established the Knights of Columbus in Ridgewood. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Ridgewood Planning Board. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ridgewood, and current parishioner of Peter Dellaglio Saint Gabriel’s in Saddle River. He is survived by his wife Gladys, nee Bonaldi, his children Richard III of Waldwick, Mary Gilsenan Lanni of Ho-Ho-Kus, John Gilsenan of Ho-Ho-Kus, and David Gilsenan of Ho-Ho-Kus, and ﬁve grandchildren. Lydia Marie Huber of Midland Park died on Jan. 1. She was 85. Before retiring, she was a medical assistant who worked for various doctors in the area and most recently was employed by Dr. Pizzurro in Ridgewood. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Janice M.H. Stopa, Kirk R. Huber, Edward C. Huber, Russell J. Huber, Karen H. Meron and Kenneth A. Huber. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter C. He was a part owner of Sequoia Tree Service. After retiring he worked with Almstead Tree Service and Paul Cowie Associates. He has been a Certiﬁed Tree Expert (CTE # 156) since 1968, International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certiﬁed Arborist, member of the Shade Tree Federation, Arborist Association, current chairman of the Ho-Ho-Kus Tree Commission, past president of the NJISA and current Community Forestry Council member. He was named Arborist of the Year in 2004. He was an active member of the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, past chief and past president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, life member of the NJ State Fireﬁghter’s Association, current president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Exempt Fireman’s Association and member of the NJ State Fire Chief’s Association. In addition, he was a past president of the Ho-Ho-Kus Blood Donors Association. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, nee Hughes, his children Pamela Erin Anderson, Paul Jr. and Timothy John, ﬁve grandchildren, and his sisters Virginia Priestner and Barbara Stuhr.
