Bernstein, a Glen Rock resident, is the program coordinator workforce development/risk communication and non-public schools administrator of the Bergen County Medical Reserve Corps. She has been with the Bergen County Department of Health Services for 22 years in a variety of positions. She is presently involved in preparing the public health workforce, including staff at the Bergen County Department of Health Services and local municipalities, in all areas of emergency preparedness. She has developed a crisis communication plan for Bergen County and messages that would be released to the public and the media in the event of a crisis. She has helped in the development and coordination of the Bergen County Medical Reserve Corps and now holds the position of Administrator of the MRC.
