Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • April 22, 2009 Ridgewood Luthcke honored for state accreditation leadership by John Koster Ridgewood Police Lieutenant Jacqueline Luthcke was praised by the Ridgewood Village Council and her peers in statewide law enforcement as she received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the New Jersey Law Enforcement Accreditation Coalition. “This award is considered to be one of the most coveted awards to receive in a law enforcement career,” said Executive Director Ted Bremer. He attended last week’s public meeting with Sergeant Brian Gibbons of the Chatham Police Department, and retired Ridgewood Lt. Rich Meier, who is currently deputy director of the Hunter College Department of Public Safety. Bremer said Lt. Luthcke had served as a highly successful and respected president of the New Jersey Law Enforcement Accreditation Coalition. “During her term as president, we have seen unprecedented growth,” Bremer said. “Under her direct leadership and guidance, our organization has grown from the seven original member agencies to become a large multi-state organization with over 140 member agencies including the New Jersey State Police, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the New York City Police Department Training Academy. Thanks to Lt.
