Ridgewood April 15, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 3 School board awards contracts for repairs by John Koster The Ridgewood Board of Education has awarded $200,000 in contracts for the repair of several school buildings and revised another contract for a total of about a half-million dollars in building repairs and renovations. The board awarded the contract for the replacement of the auditorium roof on the Benjamin Franklin Middle School in the amount of $106,220 to the Barrett Company in Millington. There were six bids on this project. The board also awarded a contract for the replacement of the Somerville School gymnasium to the same construction company in the amount of $84,310. There were six bids on this contract. The contract for the north stair tower roof at Ridgewood High School was $294,074, awarded in November, revised down from $294,164 after an alternative incorrectly listed at $25,103 turned out to be $25,013. The board also accepted donations of $500 for library The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood will host a military bridge and fundraiser on Friday, April 24.
