April 8, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • Page 5 Ridgewood Scouts receive approvals for environmental projects by John Koster The Ridgewood Village Council approved an Eagle Scout project to landscape and refurbish parts of the Saddle River and a Webelos project to clean up Ho-HoKus Brook later this spring. “I wanted something that would even outlive me,” said Robert Tedeschi, the Eagle Scout candidate who will organize Scouts and acquire adult supervisors for the Saddle River project. Chris Rutishauser of the Ridgewood engineering department appeared with Tedeschi and endorsed the project, and Tedeschi, 16 thanked the engineering department for their support. Mayor David Pfund praised the young man for his dedication and enthusiasm. A separate team of Scouts, the Webelos of Troop 44, will be cleaning up Ho-Ho-Kus Brook.
