National Breast CancerAwareness Month
Young Survival Coalition presents ‘ShopPink’ event
The Northern New Jersey Affiliate of the Young Survival Coalition invites the public to the ShopPink fair and bake sale on Saturday, Nov. 7. The event will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, 555 Russell Avenue, Wyckoff from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ShopPink is an annual fair featuring products and services such as cookware, jewelry, scrapbooking needs, knitted clothing, painted furniture, and baked goods. Participating vendors currently include Lia Sophia Jewelry, Pampered Chef, Creative Memories, and Sipalda Jewelry. Each vendor will donate a portion of their proceeds to the YSC, which will help benefit research, awareness and educational programs presented by the organization in Northern New Jersey. The YSC is still seeking interested vendors, products and donations for ShopPink. All vendors are welcome and may contact Naomi Gewirtz, YSC Northern N.J. Affiliate at ngewirtz@youngsurvival.org. The YSC is the only international network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues unique to young women and breast cancer. Through action, advocacy, and awareness, the YSC seeks to educate and influence the medical, research, breast cancer and legislative communities to address breast cancer in women 40 and under, and to serve as a point of contact for young women living with breast cancer.
