Community invited to holiday event at Zabriskie House
Voor Haze, Quackenbush, and Zabriskie families, the structure was also used as a village store, tavern, candy store, hotel, and ballroom. Today, the house and gardens represent the Grace Zabriskie home, a gift to the Township of Wyckoff. Highlighting the day will be self-guided tours throughout the house, giving visitors the opportunity to experience a Wyckoff home as it appeared two centuries ago. In addition, holiday hot-spiced tea and cookies will be served in the home’s lovely period dining room. Holiday music will add to the festivities. All area residents are invited to this special annual event. Children who are studying New Jersey history this year may especially appreciate the experience of being in a local historical home during the holiday season. There is a fee of $5 for adults, and $3 for senior citizens and children under 12. For further information, call (201) 8910057.
