Page 12 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • March 18, 2009 Dear Readers: I am Matt Brogowski, the new president of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. I am also the owner of The Wireless Store at Boulder Run, LLC, The Smartphone Center of Wyckoff. We are an AT&T Mobility Exclusive Dealership specializing in great customer service at competitive prices in a local store setting. This brings me to the main focus of today’s message, the importance of “shopping locally” to support our many different local merchants that help to make our business community thrive in Wyckoff. There are over 150 members of our local Chamber of Commerce, all of whom either live or work in Wyckoff. We are your friends, neighbors, jewelers, baristas, tax consultants, financial advisors, barbers, and grocers. We fix your car or truck so you can get to work, or run your own business more easily. We make sure your cell phone, computer, and home entertainment system work properly. We do all these things and more right here in your hometown of Wyckoff. In order to survive, we need you to continue to support us. It may be easy to order something online, but often, the item is not exactly what you expected, or you need to ask questions about how to use it. Your local stores are here, ready to help you, and offer great customer service every day without having to go online or drive to the mall and fight traffic, parking lots, and crowds. In future issues, I will try to focus on different businesses in town that are members of the Wyckoff Chamber, and what makes them special enough to warrant your loyalty. If you support them, they will continue to support our great town of Wyckoff. I promise you, they will not let you down. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Doug Padla of Booth Movers for his three years of service as the Wyckoff Chamber’s president. We look forward to his continued presence on our board of directors for years to come. Enjoy the longer, warmer days as spring approaches. This season brings so many great activities to enjoy, including baseball, flowers, yard work, and March Madness. Thank you for reading. Check us out on the Web at www.wyckoffchamber.com.
