Jean I. Flaker of Midland Park, formerly of Ridgewood, died June 5. She was 91. Before retiring, she was a media secretary in the Orchard School Library in Ridgewood. She was a member of Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood and Highlights in Leisure Time, where she served as corresponding secretary. She is survived by her son John R. Flaker of Fair Lawn. She was predeceased by her husband John. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. Memorial donations may be made to The Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 North Van Dien Avenue Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Jerome C. Fleischer of Glen Rock died June 10. He was 87. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1982, he was a chemist at Celanese Corp. in Clifton for 35 years. He was a volunteer at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly. He had been a member of the Glen Rock Jewish Center. He is survived by his wife Muriel R. Fleischer, his children Howard L Fleischer and Eric J. Fleischer, MD, and one grandchild. Fox of Jackson Township, formerly of Wyckoff, died June 10. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an aeronautical engineer with Bendix Corporation, retiring in 1988 as manager of contracts. He was a member of the Army Reserve Officers Association, a member and past president of the Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education, president of the National Contract Management Association, a Master Mason of the Wyckoff Masonic Lodge 287, and a member of the Activities Unlimited in Wyckoff. He was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Wyckoff and the Hope Lutheran Church in Freehold Township. He is survived by his wife Alice, his sons Benjamin Fox of Wyckoff, Robert Fox of South Plainfield, and William Fox of Blythewood, South Carolina, and four grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park and George S. Hassler Funeral Home in Jackson Township. Cornelius “Neil” William Haarmann, III, of Wyckoff died June 10. He was 60. He had worked on Wall Street for Merrill Lynch. He is survived by his wife Anne (nee Coburn), his children Christine Fleet, Patricia Gomez, Meghan Haarmann, Landry Haarmann, and Cornelia Haarmann, five grandchildren, and his siblings Peter Haarmann, Ellen Wolff, and Christopher Haarmann. Theresa Inserra, nee Barro, of Upper Saddle River, formerly of Lyndhurst and Rutherford, died June 6. She is survived by her children Lawrence R. Inserra, Jr., Marie Larie Larsen, and Laura Dupont, 11 grandchildren, and her sisters Ann Wilkes and Lillian Stefanic. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence R. Inserra and her son Carl. He is survived by his children Joseph A. of Bentonville, Virginia, Kathe Crawford of Towaco, and Kristine Ziser of Pompton Plains, six grandchildren, one great grandson, and his brother Fred of Rockaway. She was a registered nurse at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital, New York City for many years. She was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Wyckoff. She is survived by her mother, Mary (nee Faul) of Wyckoff, her brothers, Richard Ringley of Charlotte, North Carolina, Robert Ringley of Wyckoff and Steven Ringley of Wanaque. Patricia Witte of Allendale, formerly of Westtown, New York and Waldwick, died June 8. She was 72. She was a bookkeeper for Nolan Douglas in Wyckoff, until 1999. She is survived by her children Robert of Pine Island, New York, Lisa Ross of Clifton, and Janice Pavlick of Warwick, New York, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert.
