Eleanor Cobuzio of Franklin Lakes died on Dec. 29. She was 70. She was an office manager with her family-owned company Joseph J. Cobuzio, Inc. in Franklin Lakes. She was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Franklin Lakes and at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes. She had been a member of the West Milford Junior Woman’s Club. She is survived by her husband Joseph, and her children John of Montville, and Joseph of Franklin Lakes and four grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Maureen D’Arienzo of Wyckoff died on Jan. 5. She was 56. She was the office manager of Family Chiropractic Center of Wyckoff. She was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth R.C. Church of Wyckoff. She is survived by her husband Dr. Michael J., her children Dr. Michael C. D’Arienzo, Kerri Lyn Maguire, and Alexandria D’Arienzo, one grandson and her siblings Diane McCarthy, Robert McCarthy, Susan Arillo, and Timothy McCarthy. Mary Fitzsimmons, nee Don, of Wyckoff died on Dec. 29. She was employed as a nurse for Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood. She was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s RC Church in Wyckoff. She is survived by her children Patricia Cedrone of West Milford, Maureen Fitzsimmons of Wayne, Jerry Fitzsimmons of Denville, Kathy Hart of Montclair, Gene Fitzsimmons of Bend, Oregon, Kevin Fitzsimmons of Glenside, Pennsylvania, Stephen Fitzsimmons of Hawthorne, Jane Eisdorfer of Roxbury, and Michael Fitzsimmons of East Islip, New York; 24 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and her sister of Gertrude Tarrant of Flemington. Prior to raising her family she worked at Hawthorne Laundry for 11 years. She was a past member of the Hawthorne Lions Club. She is survived by her husband John Gallone, Jr. of Monroe, New York, her children Neil Gallone of Greenwood Lake, New York, and Marie Oppewall of Monroe, New York, and four grandchildren. Before retiring, she was a medical assistant who worked for various doctors in the area and most recently was employed by Dr. Pizzurro in Ridgewood. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Janice M.H. Stopa, Kirk R. Huber, Edward C. Huber, Russell J. Huber, Karen H. Meron and Kenneth A. Huber. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter C. Before retiring he was group vice president corporate technology with Witco Corporation. He was a member of Ridgewood Country Club. He is survived by his wife Audrey of Franklin Lakes, his children, Holly Rickert and Scott Nelson of Wyckoff, and seven grandchildren. Barnert Temple is offering a “Learner’s Shabbat” on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. During this special service, led by Barnert Temple’s Rabbi Elyse Frishman and Cantor Leon Sher, all the movements and how-to’s of the worship service will be explained. This class is the second in a three-part series designed to enrich and demystify the Shabbat experience. The January class will be dedicated to provide comprehension of the layout and order of the Jewish prayer book, and in particular, Mishkan T’filah, the prayer book used by the congregation. There is no fee for this class. Children are welcome to come to this session, but the content is geared toward adults.
