February 4, 2009 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • Page 11 FLOW Notes Charity cut-a-thon set The Ramapo High School Student Council is sponsoring a Benefit Cut-A-Thon on Sunday, Feb. 8 at Adora Bella Salon at 525 Cedar Hill Avenue in Wyckoff from 10 to 2 p.m. All proceeds will support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A haircut or a trim will cost $25 cash or check. No credit cards will be accepted. Students collect prom dresses Students at Indian Hills High School in Oakland are collecting prom dresses in association with Catherine’s Closet, a nonprofit organization that donates the gowns to underprivileged New Jersey high school girls. Dresses must be clean and current, but can be any length. The dresses and any monetary donations for the cause can be brought to Indian Hills High School, 97 Yawpo Avenue in Oakland. School board seats available The Ramapo Indian Hills Board of Education has three seats available on the board this year. There is one three-year seat available in each town: Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Wyckoff. Petitions may be picked up between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the board office at Indian Hills High School, 131 Yawpo Avenue in Oakland. Petitions must be completed and ‘Cabaret Night’ set Approximately 300 music lovers are expected to attend Ramapo High School’s annual “Cabaret Night”. This exciting music event will take place on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ramapo High School cafeteria, and is open to the entire Wyckoff - Franklin Lakes - Oakland community. This is a great evening of entertainment for students & parents, and is the Ramapo Music Parents’ biggest fundraiser. Performances by student bands as well as the RHS Jazz Band will be featured. Refreshments will be served. Admission is $8.00 for adults, with a discount for students. Tickets are available at the door. There is no admission charge for eighth grade students. They are also in need of raffle donations. Cabaret Night is famous for its wonderful gift baskets.
