Anthony D. Andora of Franklin Lakes died Dec. 4. He was 79. He practiced law for more than 50 years, most recently as a partner with Andora & Romano in Paramus. He served as a member of the American Bar Association, was a past trustee of the New Jersey Bar Association and former president of the Bergen County Bar Association. He also served as assistant county prosecutor in Bergen County and as New Jersey Deputy Attorney General. He served as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Office in the United States Army during the 1950s. In 1966, he became co-chairman and member of the Reapportionment Commission for the State of New Jersey and a member of the Constitutional Convention. He was president of the Bergen County Young Democrats and president of the New Jersey State Young Democrats. He served as chairman of the Bergen County Democratic Organization. He founded Interchange Bank in 1969 and served as the chairman of the board until 2007. He helped organize Home State Bank, the Jersey Bank for Savings, and Metropolitan State Bank. He was president of the board of directors at Bergen Community College and served as president of the Bergen County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the board of trustees at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. He was a former president of the board of directors of the Saint Joseph’s Hospital Foundation. He was a graduate student at Columbia University. He is survived by his wife Colleen Andora of Franklin Lakes, his children Melissa Muilenburg of Mountain Lakes, Suzanne Barron of Glen Rock, Elizabeth Andora of Boulder, Colorado, Anthony of Denver, Colorado, and Camille Galin of Pleasantville, New York, nine grandchildren, and his sister Joan Sagui of Las Vegas, Nevada. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home in Franklin Lakes. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson. Robin B. Maietta of Wyckoff died on Dec. 6. She was 58. She had owned, with her family Tons of Toys in Wyckoff for over 20 years. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her children Kenneth Maietta of Midland Park, Rachel Maietta of Wyckoff, her stepchildren Michael Maietta of Brooklyn, New York, and Jerry Maietta of North Bergen, and her siblings Stewart Sakosits of Middletown, and Joyce Manley of Newton. Russo, nee Ciulla, of West Milford, formerly of Waldwick, died Dec. 3. She was 86. She recently retired from Bald Eagle Manor Builders as a sales associate. Previously she had been a service representative for New Jersey Bell in Ridgewood. She was a parishioner of Queen of Peace R. C. Church in West Milford and a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by her husband Joseph M. Russo, her children Gail A. Rifflard-Krumscheid of Ringwood and Mark W. Russo, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her brother Vincent Ciulla. She was predeceased by her sister Gaye DiStefano. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was 86. She was a seamstress and artist. She was a member of her association’s Woman’s Club, the Travel Club, Bowling Club, and Bocce League. She is survived by her children RoseAnn McCrohan, Joyce Berrian, Linda Smith, and John Strange, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her siblings Jean Hoover, Antonio DeNardo, and Philip John DeNardo. Leonard John Tanis of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Fair Lawn and Wyckoff, died Nov. 28. He was 85. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He had been employed by Ford Motor Company in Mahwah. He is survived by his wife Louise, his children Leonard, and Jackie Adams, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and his brother Emil Tanis. He is survived by his wife Diane Wafer (nee Lucianna), his children Elizabeth and Derek of Saddle River, his sister Nancy Holmes of Belair, Maryland, and Raymond Wafer of Wallsend, England.
