Auxiliary to host Holiday Luncheon
The Midland Park Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary will hold its Holiday Luncheon at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Bottagra Restaurant in Hawthorne. RSVP to 201- 444-8614 if interested in joining the group. The organization is also busy with its Bakeless Bake Sale, wherein members contribute to the sale without actually having to bake the goods. That means this project is less work and easier on the figure. Auxiliary members and the community are invited to send donations made out to the MPVHA, 179 Park Ave, Midland Park 07432 through January. The branch participates in the Valley Auxiliary’s “Giving Tree” program, a partnership with Maternal Child Health (MCH), which provides home care to critically ill pediatric patients. The program helps to make the holiday season special for children and their families who have faced debilitating health challenges throughout the year. This year the Midland Park Branch has adopted a family, whereby members provide all the gift requests for the branch’s adopted family. Last year the auxiliary helped MCH collect, wrap and deliver close to 4000 gifts which included basic needs to food store gift cards. Anyone interested in supporting this cause may contact the Auxiliary at 201-652-0873.
