Robert B. Flagg of Allendale died Aug. 14. He was 61. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Before retiring in 2000, he was associate director of internal audit at KPMG Peat Marwick CPA Firm. From 1978 to 1982, he temporarily left KPMG Peat Marwick to work on Capitol Hill as controller for the National Governors’ Association. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood. He had performed with the Turners Falls Military Band, the Greenfield Military Band, and other musical groups. He is survived by his wife Donna, his daughter Ashley, and his mother Kathryn Flagg. He was predeceased by his father C. Raymond Flagg. Arrangements were made by Vander Platt Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Gibbons of Mahwah, formerly of Tenafly, died Aug. 20. He was 75. He is survived by his wife Mary Jane, his children Laura Ann and Robert John, three grandchildren, and his brother Thomas of Tamarac, Florida. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh, Inc. Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Victor J. Herlinsky Sr. of Mahwah, formerly of Upper Saddle River, died Aug. 14. He was 82. He was a founding partner of 4-H Brothers, a trailer-body manufacturing and repair company based in Wallington. He was a golden glove boxer while living in Munich, Germany, a semiprofessional soccer player in Brazil, and a member of the Ukrainian Carpathian Ski Club. He was awarded a lifetime membership to the Nutley Tennis Club and the KLK Ukrainian Sports Club. He is survived by his wife Irene (nee Chornodolsky), his children Victor Jr. of East Rutherford and Donna of Ridgewood, two granddaughters, and his siblings Tamara, Ivan, and Walter. He was predeceased by his siblings Roman, Adam, and Eva. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. She had worked at the Rock Ridge Pharmacy for 29 years. She is survived by her children William Richey and Ernest Colsman Hulsizer, two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. igan, formerly of Midland Park, died Aug. 18. She was 78. She had been a public relations director of the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, a reporter, and news editor. She was managing editor of the Ridgewood News from 1978 to 1985. Before retiring, she was writer and editor at the Bergen County Public Information Office. She was a member of the New Jersey Press Women. She served on the Board of Publications for the Christian Reformed Church Denomination. She was a member of LaGrave Avenue CRC, Grand Rapids. She is survived by her husband Andrew, her children Paul Kooistra of South Carolina, Kevin Kooistra-Manning of Montana, Gregg of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Sharon Hall of Vermont, six grandchildren, and her sister Ellen Terpstra of Midland Park. Locke, nee Heffron, of Phoenix, Maryland, formerly of Glen Rock, died Aug. 11. She was a U.S. Navy Wave veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1991, she was employed as the borough clerk in Glen Rock. She was a parishioner of Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Maryland, and a former parishioner of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glen Rock. She was a member of the Woman’s Club and the Republican Club of Glen Rock, honorary member of the Glen Rock Fire Department, past president of the County Clerks Association, past treasurer of the Bergen County Registrar Association, and volunteer with the Valley Hospital of Ridgewood and the Girl Scouts of Bergen County. She is survived by her children Mary Ready of Beverly, Massachusetts, Beth Cockerham of Gaithersburg, Maryland, John Locke of Oxford, Michigan, and Patti Spero of Phoenix, Maryland, eight grandchildren. Blanchard ‘Bing’ Miller of Allendale died Aug. 16. He was 93. He had worked for Western Union for 45 years in New York City and Upper Saddle River. He is survived by his son James K. Miller of Allendale, and his nieces and nephews, Sheldon Osborne of Tucson, Arizona, Cheryl Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Barbara Brown of Dewey, Arizona, Donna Brown of Denver, Colorado, Beverley Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Joanne and Carol Hunt of Syracuse, New York. Donald Scott Mohan Sr. of Shohola, Pennsylvania, formerly of Allendale, died Aug. 16. He was 89. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was a welder with Marlow Pumps in Midland Park. He was a member of Archer United Methodist Church in Allendale and the XYZ Seniors Club. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Jane Belinsky Mohan, son Gary Mohan of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, daughter-in-law Sherry Mohan of Port Jervis, New York, two grandchildren, and his sisters Jessie Gasskill of New Paltz, New York and Janet Rand of Jupiter, Florida. Pratt, nee Siegert, of Upper Saddle River died Aug. 12. She was 82. She began as an assistant designer and worked her way up to creating her own designs for the textile industry in New York City. She had worked as a designer for the Hollywood film industry. She was a member of the Art Center Watercolor Affiliates, Salute to Women in the Arts and Community Arts. She is survived by her children Craig Pratt and Robyn Scott and one grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband William C. Pratt.
