The Wyckoff Education Association recognizes the impact of great teachers and knows the importance of working collaboratively with the Board of Education to ensure that our schools attract and retain the best teachers. Unfortunately, the state has not paid its fair share to support our public schools. According to the N.J. Department of Education, 88 percent of our district’s revenues come from local taxpayers – that means only 12 percent of our funding comes from the state and federal governments combined! The state’s average contribution to public schools is 36.1 percent and nationally it’s 47.9 percent. It’s time for the state to stop acting like a deadbeat parent and pay its fair share. Our children are our future!
A message from the Wyckoff Education Association… People who care about your kids!
